By the end of series two I found that Mary was my favorite "upstairs character". She is flawed and has fallen into a whirl-wind of testing trials, her true character really comes out in series two. After the first couple of episodes in series 1 I thought I wouldn't like her anymore, but then I found that because of her mistakes I was able to relate with her on a more human level. She seemed more natural and comfortable with herself by the end.Though I am a considerably large period drama fan, I find that I do not voice it that much anymore. I am perfectly content with watching a show and then just doing something else, I dont HAVE to blog about it right away. I dont feel the need to post a quote from one of my favorite authors every four minutes.
It's a quiet, healthy obsessions. As far as obssesions go, though I believe Gwenea would beg to differ on this account, I still am comfortable with not being the star-eyed period drama fangirl... Well that and I haven't had that much time to even consider it.

As far as male characters go, Matthew and William were my favorites. I liked William from the begining, a sweet farm-boy who was looking up in the world as a footman. And he was also in love with the darling Daisy. I really don't want to spoil this story for you.
Matthew Crawley was a man! Thank the Lord for men. He had doubts and fears and he even struggled with temptations. He wasn't a *perfect* character, which made him the perfect hero!
But by far the most hilarious and most entertaining character was Maggie!
I am so excited for season three!
In Christ
