I thank you for writing these wonderful novels. I have spent my teenage years on your stories, daydreaming of Colonel Brandon, and lapping up every word from Emma. I have spent a whole semester studying your work in classes with other Jane Austen fans.
The best part about reading your books is the community you end up falling into. The other fans who adore you, they make wonderful company.
I thank you for inspiring me to dream a little more, and to aspire to things greater than myself.
