Steal Her Style #9: Jennifer Aniston

Some may say she plays it safe, but there's no denying that Jennifer Aniston never gets it wrong on the red carpet. This fab, more affordable version of Jennifer's dress is from Topshop.

The heels are Dunnes, and the colour in the picture is a little deceiving as they are actually the same cream colour as the dress (I have them at home, they're a great bargain pair of heels!). They also a lot more comfortable than Jennifer's strappy option, so more suited to a night out in Ireland!

Blair Bands

I love a good old bow in the hair. Shops are chocked full of them, so make like Blair Waldorf and wrap it up!

A Penneys Worth

Believe it or not, all these outfits are part of Penneys' Autumn/Winter line.

The thick knits, faux-leather and soft floaty pastels above are just the beginning of the beautiful collection on sale. Some pieces are already on sale, with more being released over the next few months.

Pilot Fashion

You'll look like you jumped out of of the screen from Aviator in these jackets, further sneak looks from River Island's Autumn/Winter line.

Leather, soft rich materials and colours will make one of these a standout choice for a coat or jacket this winter.

In stores at River Island soon.

Bold Beginning to Winter

Take a sneak peak at some of River Island's dramatic party dresses in their Autumn/Winter line. They are certain to turn a few heads, though whether it will be for good or bad reasons depends on your choice of dress!

I adore the gold dress (bottom left), which has quite a Lady Gaga-feel to it, but whether I'd wear on any night except Halloween is up for debate. There are more dresses in the line that are exactly stunning and a lot more wearable.

You'll see them popping up in stores in the next few months.

Steal Her Style #7: Lauren Conrad

Lauren manages to look both cute and dressy, while proving that summer dresses don't have to just be paired with flip flops.

A tan coloured bag and heels are a less dramatic look that plain black. That also tends to make them a lot more wearable, because you can get day and night out of them.

Heels: Topshop
Bag: A-Wear

Steal Her Style #6: Blake Lively (Continued)

I know, I know. Two Blake Lively outfits in the space of two days but Ms. Lively has been on fine fashion form and I couldn't resist!

Blake's actual look is a bit over the top for the average gal, so I have instead recreated a more wearable version. It'll still have a great impact, it'll just stop you looking like a lunatic.

Enjoy!

Get Your Glee On

Like most people on planet earth, I too developed an addiction for all things Glee this year. One of these these things was a love for the delicious wardrobe of Emma Pillsbury (Played by the lovely Jayma Mays).

Her adorable, kooky style is a hard one to pull off without looking ridiculous, but for those brave enough to try it, I have put together three Emma-inspired looks.

Outfit #1:
Blouse: Next
Skirt: Topshop
Cardigan: A-Wear
Heels: Dunnes Stores
Necklace: Accessorize

Outfit #2: Cardigan: A-Wear
Skirt: Topshop
Heels: New Look
Bag: A-Wear
Earrings: A-Wear

Outfit #3: Blouse: A-Wear
Skirt: Topshop
Heels: Dunnes Stores
Necklace: Accessorize

Lacy, Pale and Interesting

Pastels and lace are going to be sticking around for the rest of the summer and autumn, but can go wrong very easily if you try to overload with them.

Here are some choice pieces in store at the moment. The Penneys dress, at only 13 euro is my favourite!

To play it safe, team your jacket/skirt/top with something plain and dark. Lace on lace usually ends up looking tacky and lace with print is not the way to go either.

Oh My GOSH!

For those of you who like make up but may not be the best at applying it, I have found the handiest new eye shadow stick. It’s the “Gosh Waterproof Eye Shadow Stick”.

“Silky and creamy eye shadow stick. A lasting formula which stays nice all day long. Also the perfect base for all powder eye shadows.
•Waterproof.
•Sharpening is never necessary; always ready for use.
•Highly recommended for sportswear as well as in warm weather conditions due to high melting point of the stick.
•Without mineral oil and preservatives.
•Contains no perfume.”

This is all true! These sticks are amazing. I have the gold one and my sister has the dusky pink one. I wear it to work and it stays on all day, up to 12 hours in a fairly humid environment. They are also so easy to put on, the stick is like a crayon almost so you essentially just colour in your eyelid (you don’t even have to be looking in a mirror!). They can be blended and it takes minutes to put on with little or no mistakes. They cost around €10 too which I consider a complete bargain for what you're getting.

Beautiful Stranger

For the past two days I have been feeling quite Nostalgic. I spent my entire day off listening to old Madonna songs from the 90's such as Lucky Star, Papa Don't preach, Secret (which I had a repeat, literally), Get Into The Groove and many other Madonna tracks from the past as well. The 80's and 90's have always been dear to me! The 80's to me was about creative freedom, Shoulder Pads, and Vinyl anything! And when it comes to the 90's all I can think about is Plaid, Nirvana, Savage Garden, and one hit wonders. I really wanna to go back to my youth and relive as much as I can. I mean, who wouldn't want to do that? Fashion always derives from the past and it always will. Each designer is constantly trying to renew a past trend such as platform Jelly shoes, or 1950's silhouettes like at Louis Vuitton! And I have to admit, I love it a LITTLE TOO MUCH..Well no not really!! Yes fashion should be innovative but the past is something we can all relate too! The pictures below are from Mirage Magazine, which is magazine geared towards the 1970's and jet set Hedonism. Every time I flip through Mirage Magazine I'm taken back to when my mom sported an Afro and Bell Bottoms with platform shoes. Which always brings a smile to my face. I will always love a great BLAST FROM THE PAST! Wouldn't You?

Online Treasure Trove

Looking for a thoughtful gift?

Maybe you just want to treat yourself to something pretty?!

Rock 'N Rose has a beautiful collection of vintage style jewellery. My favourites (above) are their necklaces, varying from about £9 sterling to £24.

Postage to Ireland is only £2.99, so there's no excuse not to head there right now for a look!

Steal Her Style #5: Taylor Swift

Taylor looks beach ready is a loose and super-short white dress. Copy the outfit with this look from Next. Pair it with some black sandals, shades and a beach bag and, when the sun's away, some dark tights and boots will create a whole new look.

Another summer's day

... Has come and gone away.

Aloha from Turkey guys! Well, as I write this, I'm sitting in my slob-clothes, with a fat jumper on, a Milka bar (for Happy Cows) and a cuppa... at home, in SUNNY England! I've scheduled this for like 4 days later, I COULD SO BE DEAD RIGHT NOW, OR LIKE FRYING IN THE SUN, UNASHAMED! Sounds like me to be honest.

Top: LELASULLY creations by Misfit, Skirt: Primark, UH-MAZINGSHOES: Toppers.

I got my shoes. JS.

Steal Her Style #4: Zooey Deschanel

500 Days of Summer actress Zooey is known for her somewhat unusual style. Teaming lace with cowboy boots may not sound like an attractive combination but as Zooey demonstrates, it can look great when pulled off correctly.

These New Look boots, fab A-Wear dress and navy belt paired with some thick black tights will bridge the gap between summer and autumn beautifully. It will also look much more expensive that it actually is!

Steal Her Style #3: Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson kept it neutral in this camel coloured creation
and patent black heels.

Snap up this A-Wear dress in an almost identical colour and order
yourself these classic heels, reduced to only £10 on ASOS.

Steal Her Style #2: Cheryl Cole

She may be locked away with malaria at the moment but her recent appearances at next season's X Factor auditions certainly turned some heads.

Team this gorgeous red dress from A-Wear with some black and white heels from Dunnes Stores to re-create the same attention-grabbing look.

Splurge or Steal: Steve Madden

Yes, one of these are by Steve Madden and the other really is from Penneys at only €13.

Celeb favourite, Steve Madden's sandals have been seen on the feet of Kate Moss, Heidi Klum, Katy Perry, Ashley Tisdale, Lindsay Lohan (the above feet belong to the jailbird herself) and Leo DiCaprio's lady, Bar Refaeli.

The above pairs are shockingly similar. Having bought a pair of authentic, and need-I-say, pricey Madden sandals this summer, I know I will be racing to Penneys for a pair of these uncanny copies.

Steal Her Style #1: Emma Watson's Glastonbury Gear

Let's get this straight: As an actress, Emma Watson does nothing for me. However, the girl can put an outfit together when she wants to!

Steal a slice of Emma's festival style with an ever-predictable pair of denim shorts. Try and make them a bit a different; Think ripped and bleached such as the above pair from River Island or a dark, dressier pair like these from Topshop. Both River Island and Topshop have a great selection of shorts.

These black chunky wellies are a steal at Dunnes Stores at only €18 make a great change from the obvious choice of bright printed boots. While Emma's Burberry corset top is a bit beyond a normal person's budget, you can get the same look with this pint printed corset top from Penneys, €13.

If the look is too dramatic for you, why not follow Emma's more ladylike look? Team this white blouse (reduced to €15 in A-wear's summer sale) with some cool accessories for a more simple, festival-friendly outfit. Grey plimsoll shoes can be picked up in Penneys for a mere €6, and some colourful bangles (above), can be gotten on the same trip for only €3.

When you're sleeping in a tent, don't even have a shower or even a mirror, it's best to keep things simple. Enjoy festival season folks!
